Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer at our Reykjavík Studio to work on the world’s greatest MMO!

In this role you will be working on a feature team in our brand-new studio in beautiful Reykjavík, Iceland. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be working with a fully stacked gameplay engineer team where you will be designing, implementing and maintaining features in a live-game environment. As a successful candidate you will be doing a great deal of collaboration with people from various disciplines such as with Game Designers, UI/UX designers and artists in order to create the best possible experience for our player base.

Requirements:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years of programming experience of which at least 3 years must have been spent working with python
Good knowledge of and experience with SQL
Experience with Data Modeling (Yaml, Restful architecture, protobuf messages)
Experience with Aws / docker / datadog / Kubernetes is a plus but not a requirement
Experience with 3D maths as well as statistics is a plus but not a requirement

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the engineering tasks for your team including quality of code, validity of solutions, and service for the team and our players
Applying effective engineering methodologies and best practices to help ensure the highest possible quality with maximum efficiency
Fostering a collaborative environment with other engineers and members of the team
Being willing and able to mentor other more junior engineers
